Both Livingstone Tourism (via their facebook page) and Chanters Lodge (Livingstone) are reporting that National Airports in Zambia have introduced an so-called "airport security charge" on departure for all passengers. All travellers must now pay and additional US$5 per person for international flights and US$3 per person for domestic flights. It seems that the charge can only be paid in cash in US$ or Zambian Kwacha. It is not clear at this stage whether the charge can be included in the cost of your ticket, like the regular departure tax.
