Zimbabwe: Rainforest in the Victoria Falls National Park to temporarily close!

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) has informed the public on behalf of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority (ZimParks) on "x" that the rainforest in the Victoria Falls National Park in Victoria Falls will temporarily close because of a "special event" happening the National Park on 15 April 2024 from 16:00 onwards. ZimParks urges visitors to adjust their itineraries for the day (!) accordingly. This might indicate, that the rainforest reopens to the public on 16 April 2024. We'll keep you posted!

Zimbabwe: Zimparks increases the entrance fees for Victoria Falls National Park and the Zambezi National Park!

The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) announced in December 2022 that it will raise the entrance fees to Victoria Falls National Park and the Zambezi National Park in the area of the world-famous Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe with effect from 01 January 2023. Following criticism from tourism stakeholders, ZimParks at the end of December 2022 agreed to postpone the increase in park entry fees until 01 April 2023.
The new entrance fee for Victoria Falls National Park will be US$10/person (up from US$7) for citizens of Zimbabwe, US$30/person (up from US$20) for nationals of the Southern African Development Communtiy (SADC) and US$50/person (up from US$30) for all other international visitors of the National Park. Rates for entering Victoria Falls National Park through the VIP Gate will be US$30/person (citizens of Zimbabwe), US$75/person (SADC nationals) and US$150/person (all other international visitors). The rainforest tour under moonlight will cost citizens of Zimbabwe USD15/person, nationals of the SADC US$70/person and for all other international visitors US$100/person.
The entrance fee for the Zambezi National Park will be US5/person (citizens of Zimbabwe), US$12/person (SADC nationals) and US$15/person (all other Nationalities).
Children above five years of age will pay half the adult fees. Vehicles will be charged between US$5 for small cars and US$20 for buses and lories. Foreign registered vehicles will be charged US$30 each.

The Zimbabwe and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) has announced that it will raise the entrance fees to Victoria Falls National Park and the Zambezi National Park in the area of the world-famous Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe with effect from 01 January 2023. According to news reports from Zimbabwe, the new entrance fee for Victoria Falls National Park will be US$10/person (up from US$7) for citizens of Zimbabwe, US$30/person (up from US$20) for nationals of the Southern African Development Communtiy (SADC) and US$50/person (up from US$30) for all other international visitors of the National Park. Zimbabwe: Victoria Falls National Park is temporarily closed!

According to Zimbabwean state-owned daily newspaper The Herald (online edition, 01 April 2020), the gates to the famous Victoria Falls have been closed to the public in line with the 21-day lockdown in Zimbabwe to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The Victoria Falls National Park, which includes the Victoria Falls Rainforest and the Victoria Falls, closed on 30 March 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the number of visitors to the Victoria Falls Rainforest drastically dropped to less than 10 per day from between 500 and 1 000 during the previous week.

Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe): ZimParks hikes National Park entrance fees!

The Zimbabwe and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) has increased the entrance fees into the Victoria Falls National Park and the Zambezi National Park in the area of the world-famous Victoria Falls with effect from 11 August 2019. The new entrance fee for locals (both land and river usage) is RTGS$* 30.00/person (from RTGS$ 7.00/person) for the Victoria Falls National Park and RTGS$ 20.00/person (from RTGS$ 5.00/person) for the Zambezi National Park. Regional and international tourists pay US$30.00 and US$20.00 respectively. Conservation fees (both land and river usage) for all gorge activities (including highwire activities) are as stipulated for Zambezi National Park.

Victoria Falls: Zimparks has increased National Park entrance fees for Zimbabweans! [update]

The Zimbabwe and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks) has increased the entrance fees into the Victoria Falls National Park and the Zambezi National Park in the area of the world-famous Victoria Falls as well as for Zambezi River cruises on the Zambezi river for Zimbabweans. The new entrance fee is RTGS$* 20/person (from RTGS$ 7/person) for the Victoria Falls National Park and RTGS$ 15/person (from RTGS$ 5/person) for the Zambezi National Park. Zimbabweans now have to pay RTGS$ 15/person (from RTGS$ 5/person) for a Zambezi River cruise. The entrance fees for international visitors remain unchanged.
