Video: Mindblowing FPV drone footage of the mighty Victoria Falls!

Award-winning cinematographer Christoph Benfey shot this mindblowing first-person view (FPV) drone footage on his GoPro Hero as it flew over and through the mighty Victoria Falls. Located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, the Victoria Falls is considered to be one of the World's largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708 m. New drone video of Cape Town!

Dutch brothers Sander & Bas Mutsaards recently visited Cape Town to write a travel report for a Dutch online mag and to film a drone movie (DJI Phantom 2/Zenmuse H3-2D gimbal/GoPro Hero3+ Black/GoPro Hero4) of the Mother City. The short video is probably not as spectacular as the one Eric Cheng shot a while ago [link], but it defo has some great views on Table Mountain, the Bo Kaap, Stellenbosch, Camps Bay and, of course, Lion's Head. South Africa: Lioness hunts down prey with GoPro camera mounted to its body (video)

South African animal behaviourist Kevin Richardson, also known as the "lion whisperer", posted a video to YouTube (via GoPro's youtube channel) offering a piggyback view of a lioness named Meg hunting down a water buck in the wild. The rare video was filmed by strapping a GoPro camera onto the animal’s back. Eish!



Kevin's "Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary" is located just an hour north east of Johannesburg and half an hour from Pretoria in the Welgedacht Private Game Reserve, which forms part of the Dinokeng Game Reserve. Since 01 Nov 2013 Kevin's Wildlife Sanctuary is open to the public. Tours include a welcome refreshment, sanctuary tour and a guided game drive with a Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) guide in the greater area of the Big Five Reserve, as well as a boma braai lunch at the end of the tour. Video: Aerial Cape Town

While visiting Cape Town, photographer Eric Cheng filmed a short aerial video of the Mother City and its surrounding area with his DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter and his GoPro HERO 3+ Black. Locations include Lion's Head, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Hout Bay, Simon's Town and Seal Island; the footage includes great white sharks from above at Seal Island, an aggregation of spotted gully sharks/sharptooth houndshark in the surf near Cape Point in Table Mountain National Park and a brown fur seal surfing in the waves. Video: A holiday trip along the Wild Coast (South Africa)

The Wild Coast, which formed part of the Transkei until 1994, stretches from East London in the south to the border of KwaZulu-Natal in the north. Popular tourist towns and villages along the Wild Coast include Port St Johns, Coffee Bay, Hole in the Wall, Kei Mouth and Chintsa. During Apartheid, the Transkei was an independent homeland politically and economically independent of South Africa.

Travel video: This is Tofo (Mozambique)

One of the guys from Tag Media recently spent three month in Tofo, Mozambique. Located on the Ponto do Barra peninsula in the country's Inhambane Province, the town became a major tourist destination over the last couple of years. Besides being a beachlovers paradise, Tofo is also known to be one of the best destinations for divers to see Manta Rays and Whale Sharks. National Geographic Wild: Red Hartebeest vs. Cyclist

Do you remember that collision at Albert Falls Dam in KwaZulu Natal in which mountain biker Evan van der Spuy got taken out by a Red Hartebeest?
A team from TV channel Nat Geo Wild's series "Caught in the Act" spoke with Evan, his friend Travis Walker, who filmed the accident with his gopro-camera, and a zoologist from the Johannesburg Zoo, who is trying to explain why the Hartebeest took Evan out.
The full interviews, as well as the video footage of the collision, will get aired in the US on 17 April 2012 (Caught in the Act: Psycho). Watch the video below for some extracts from the show.

American basejumper, wingsuit flyer and skydiver Jeb Corliss crashed into Table Mountain in Cape Town (South Africa) on 16 Jan 2012. He survived, but broke both legs. You have probably heard about it, read about it or watched his crash on youtube.
Anyway, Jeb Corliss has released a new video of the crash which is showing the incident from multiple angles. Seemingly unbreakable GoPro cameras made filming it possible! Pls consider that the following footage may be a little disturbing.
