Covid-19: Namibia extends the current public health measures for a period of 30 days!

Namibia's President Dr. Hage G. Geingob announced on the occasion of the 42nd Covid-19 briefing on the national response measures on 13 April 2022 that the current dispensation which came into effect for a period of 30 days, from 16 March 2022, will lapse on 16 April 2022 at midnight. All public health measures in Namibia remain unchanged and are therefore extended, for a period of 30 days, until 15 May 2022.
As at 12 April 2022, Namibia has recorded at total of 157914 Covid-19 cases out of the 992038 samples tested. The total number of deaths related to Covid-19 stands at 4021 since the beginning of the pandemic. As at 11 April 2022, the cumulative number of persons in Namibia fully vaccinated against Covid-19 was 399,304 translating to 22.4 percent of the total target population. A total of 47 829 people in Namibia have received their Covid-19 vaccine booster dose.
