The Tanzania Airport Authority (TAA) will introduce a new security fee on all domestic and international flights in Tanzania. Starting on 01 October 2018, an additional TSh5 000 (GBP1.70 | €1.90 | $2.20 | ZAR32.20) will be incorporated in ticket prices for domestic flights and an additional US$5.00 (GBP3.80 | €4.30 | ZAR73.60) will be incorporated in ticket prices for international flights. According to TAA's director general Mr. Richard Mayongela, the fee is meant to help fund improvement of Tanzania's airports security.
