Air Namibia & Lufthansa sign interline agreement (UK market)

Namibia's national airline, Air Namibia, and Germany's flag carrier, Lufthansa, have signed a commercial agreement (SPA). The SPA allows Air Namibia to offer "one stop" flights between the United Kingdom and Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek. The intermediate point is Lufthansa's main hub at Frankfurt Airport (FRA).

Points in the United Kingdom where the stated SPA applies, linked to Windhoek via Frankfurt are:

• London-Heathrow (LHR)
• Manchester (MAN)
• Birmingham (BHX)
• Edinburgh (EDI)
• Aberdeen (ABZ)
• Dublin (DUB)

Connecting / transit times at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in both directions are between 1 hour to 2 hours, so that Air Namibia's flights are currently the shortest possible options for travel between the United Kingdom and Windhoek in Namibia. The airline operates 6 flights per week between Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Windhoek's Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH).
