Thai Airways to increase its service between Bangkok <> Johannesburg

update (12 June 2013): Due to aircraft rotation, Thai Airways will temporarily (August & September 2013) reduce its service between Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok and OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg from currently four weekly flights to three weekly flights.

The national flag carrier of Thailand, Thai Airways, is increasing its service between the airline's main hub in Bangkok and Johannesburg in South Africa. From 31 March 2013/01 April 2013 Thai Airways will add one weekly frequency on Fridays between the two destinations, so that it will then operate a total of four flights per week to South Africa.
From its hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thai Airways is currently flying to 75 destinations in 35 countries, using a fleet of more than 80 aircraft. The airline is a founding member of the Star Alliance, the world's first and largest global airline alliance.
