Cape Town: Chapman's Peak Drive is currently closed to traffic!

update (18 July 2017): Chapman's Peak Drive has been reopened!

update (03 July 2017): The Day Pass option is still open and available from the Hout Bay side of the Chapman's Peak Drive!

update (20 June 2017): Chapman's Peak Drive has been closed for at least three to four weeks after approximately 15m³ of rock came down on the Noordhoek end, causing significant damage to two catch fences and the road surface. Visitors should use Ou Kaapse Weg as an alternative.

update (15 June 2017): Chapman's Peak Drive will be closed for a few weeks!

Cape Town's famous Chapman's Peak Drive has been closed to traffic due to rock fall. We'll keep you posted!



Chapman's Peak Drive
is a scenic 9km route between Noordhoek and Hout Bay along the western flank of the Chapman's Peak, a mountain on the western side of the Cape Peninsula, located about 15 kilometres south of Cape Town.
