Ethiopia's flag carrier Ethiopian Airlines announced it will launch a new four-weekly service to Seychelles as of 01 April 2012. The new nonstop flights to Mahe Island (Seychelles) from Addis Ababa, combined with e.g. the daily service from Washington Dulles International Airport to the Ethiopipan capital, makes the Seychelles now more accessible than ever before for travellers based in the United States.
Seychelles will be Ethiopian’s 41st destination in Africa and 65th worldwide.
The Republic of Seychelles comprises 115 islands occupying a land area of 455 km² and an Exclusive Economic Zone of 1.4 km² in the Western Indian Ocean. The country is one of the world leaders in sustainable ecotourism which attracts a good number of visitors every year.
