I just love the bbc documentaries podcast - IMO one of the best ones around. They are highly informative, well investigated and defo broaden one's horizon...
Over the last couple of month I already posted about the 3 "Gold" episodes, the "Why is Africa poor" series and about Mike Woodbridge travels to Nicaragua, Namibia & Nepal ("A Dollar a Day"). Earlier today the bbc published a new interesting and very relevant podcast about who is actually controlling the deadly militia in the DR Congo.
In Assignment Peter Greste investigates whether Rwandans in France and Germany are controlling a deadly African militia in the Democratic Republic of Congo. For the last 15 years, the rebels of the FDLR have enforced their control through a series of brutal atrocities. Now Assignment has secret intelligence suggesting that they were taking orders from political leaders living openly in Europe. [src. bbc] - click here to listen to the podcast!
