The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO), a parastatal under Botswana's Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism, just announced on Facebook that the third annual Gaborone International Airshow, which was scheduled to take place on 04 August 2018 at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE) in Gaborone, has been canceled. According to the BTO, "the cancellation is necessary to allow the organisation to reposition this and other events for optimal value derivation, from tourism-type events".
