Situated in the Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth is today one of South Africa's largest cities as well as one of the major seaports in the country. Port Elizabeth was founded as a town in 1820 to house British settlers and was declared a city on 28 July 1913. To celebrate its 100th anniversary as a city, the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, of which is the city is a part of, produced the video below.
