Air Seychelles to double flights to Johannesburg

update (14 Aug 2012): Air Seychelles has announced that it will add extra Johannesburg flights to its January 2013 schedule (05, 07, 12 January 2013) for travellers returning to South Africa after their summer holidays.

The national airline of the Seychelles, Air Seychelles, will double its Seychelles International Airport <> Johannesburg services to four return flights a week from 01 December 2012. The airline originally planned to increase the number of flights in 2013 when their second Airbus A330-200 will be delivered, but due to rising demand and a projected boom over the busy holiday season, Air Seychelles reassessed the schedule to find a way to increase the frequency earlier.
  • Sat/Mon 07:30 Mahe (SEZ) > Johannesburg (JNB) 10:40
  • Sat/Mon 12:10 Johannesburg (JNB) > Mahe (SEZ) 19:10
  • Fri/Sun 15:35 Mahe (SEZ) > Johannesburg (JNB) 18:45
  • Fri/Sun 22:55 Johannesburg (JNB) > Mahe (SEZ) 05:50 (next day)
Air Seychelles currently operates 160 domestic flights a week throughout the archipelago, as well as domestic charter services and international flights to Abu Dhabi, Johannesburg and Mauritius, operated by an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
