South African regional airline Airlink has announced that daily flights between OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg and Moshoeshoe I International Airport (MSU) in Maseru in Lesotho, will resume tomorrow morning (07 November 2025).
This positive development follows confirmation from Lesotho's aviation authorities that suitable fire and rescue equipment has been sourced and reinstated at Moshoeshoe I International Airport (MSU). The airport now meets international safety and operational standards once again, allowing commercial flights to safely return.
The reinstatement of this important regional route reconnects Lesotho and South Africa’s economic hub, reversing the temporary disruption previously reported in our blogpost “Airlink temporarily suspends Johannesburg – Maseru flights!” published earlier today, 06 November 2025. This resumption ensures smoother travel for both business and leisure passengers and underscores Airlink’s commitment to maintaining safe and reliable air connectivity across Southern Africa.
