update (04 January 2021): Air Namibia's flights to South Africa are still suspended!

Namibia's flag carrier, Air Namibia, just announced that flights to South Africa will be temporarily suspended. Effective 16 November 2020, the airline will suspend flights between Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg as well as between Windhoek and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town due to scheduled heavy maintenance checks on two of the airline's four aircrafts. These checks are expected to be completed within four weeks, so that Air Namibia will resume flights to South Africa around mid-December 2020. The airline's domestic routes in Namibia will continue to operate as scheduled. We'll keep you posted!
