South African regional carrier Airlink suspends its services between Durban <> George and Johannesburg <> Phalaborwa with immediate effect. The original end date was set for 10 June 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the airline have had to move the date forward. Customers holding confirmed tickets will be offered full refund, alternatively, Phalaborwa customers may elect to be re-accommodated on Airlink's Hoedspruit services operating from Johannesburg or Cape Town. Also in light of the coronavirus pandemic, flights between Durban <> Nelspruit and Durban <> Bloemfontein are temporarily suspended due to low demand. For customers holding tickets for travel between 18 March 2020 and 30 September 2020 wishing to make changes to their travel dates, Airlink will facilitate one free date change to their reservation, for new dates of travel between 18 March 2020 and 31 December 2020, subject to the airline's standard terms, conditions and fare rules.
