South Africa/eSwatini: Oshoek/Ngwenya border post to extend operating hours!

According to a join statement by South Africa's and eSwatini's Ministers of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi and Her Royal Highness Princess Lindiwe, the Oshoek/Ngwenya border post will change operating hours. Once South Africa's Department of Home Affairs has concluded consultations with the country's Department of Health and the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development on the extension the operating hours, the border post will open gates at 06:00 instead of the current 07:00. eSwatini's Ministry of Home Affairs is already prepared to extend the operating hours by one hour. Both countrys also agreed to make the the border post operational 24 hrs a day in near future.



The Oshoek/Ngwenya border post is currently the busiest port of entry between
South Africa and eSwatini and has also been identified for infrastructure upgrade as part of South Africa's One-Stop Border Posts programme.
