Namibia introduced an Electronic Border Management System at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek!

Namibia has introduced an Electronic Border Management System at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek. The new system, which captures the biometrics of a person such as the face (for facial recognition) and the fingerprints, is expected to improve the collection of statistics and data storage as well as to significantly improve the management of lawful migration. Namibia's main international airport, Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH), switched over to the new system on 01 September 2017. According to Namibia's Home Affairs Minister Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana, the remaining border posts will follow suit in the near future. We'll keep you posted!
