Top 10 of the on-time performing airlines in 2009

Flightstats.com is a leading provider of worldwide flight on-time performance information to the global travel and transportation industries. Flightstats is publishing their "Airline and Airport On-time Performance - Year-end Report" every year. The 2009 report was recently published.
  1. Japan Airlines (Japan)
    90.95% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  2. ANA (Japan)
    90.37% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  3. SAS (Sweden)
    89.11% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  4. Korean Airlines (South Korea)
    88.61% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  5. Horizon Airlines (USA)
    85.88% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  6. Air Nostrum (Spain)
    85.80% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  7. Chautauqua Airlines (USA)
    84.60% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  8. Qantas (Australia)
    83.90% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  9. Lufthansa (Germany)
    83.21% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
  10. Flybe (UK)
    82.64% flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival
Worth noting:
  • All Nippon Airlines (ANA) had the lowest percentage of flights delayed more than 44 minutes (1.22%)
  • China's Hainan Airlines had the lowest percentage of cancelled flights (.01%)
  • Air China had the highest percentage of cancelled flights in 2009 (4.07%)
