East Africa might get a single tourist visa from June 2010 on. The East African Community (EAC) sectoral ministerial council on Tourism and Wildlife said a work plan to pilot the programme had been developed. The trial phase will involve tourists from Germany, France, the US, Italy, Japan, Canada, South Africa, the UK, Netherlands, Belgium and the Scandinavian countries.
The East African Community member states are Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda & Burundi.
