Kruger National Park: Update on restaurant refurbishment plan

South African National Parks (SANParks) announced in October 2013 that some restaurants and take-aways in some of Kruger National Park's rest camps will get new operators. Just before Easter 2014 (17 April 2014), SANParks issued a new update on the restaurant refurbishment plan.

Pretoriuskop Rest Camp:

• the restaurant is already closed
• opening date: 19 May 2014
• operator: Wimpy
• A Boskombuis (bush kitchen) provides a unique dining experience with limited menu (18 April - 19 May 2014)

Letaba Rest Camp:

• the restaurant closed on 23 April 2014
• opening date: 05 June 2014
• operator: Mugg and Bean
• A Boskombuis (bush kitchen) provides a unique dining experience with limited menu (23 April 2014 to 5 June 2014)

Olifants Rest Camp:

• the restaurant will close on 07 May 2014
• opening date: 20 June 2014
• operator: Mugg and Bean
• A Boskombuis (bush kitchen) is planned to be operational from 20 May 2014 to 21 June 2014 and will provide a unique dining experience with limited menu. At this stage there will be no temporary dining option from 07 - 20 May 2014, in this camp.

Satara Rest Camp:

• Status of the restaurant refurbishments at Satara:
• Debonairs opened on 15 April 2014.
• Mugg and Bean on the Move opened on 17 April 2014.
• Mugg and Bean main opened 19 April 2014
