Western Cape: The City of Cape Town closes all Nature Reserves due to storm & flooding!

The City of Cape Town's Spatial Planning and Environment Directorate has announced that all Nature Reserves in Cape Town managed by the City are currently closed until furhter notice. This closure follows the inclement weather that has resulted in flooding and storms in and around Cape Town and the Western Cape. Below is the full list of nature reserves that are closed for the duration of these unprecedented weather conditions:

  1. Blaauwberg Nature Reserve
  2. Bothasig Fynbos Nature Reserve
  3. Botterblom Nature Reserve
  4. Bracken Nature Reserve
  5. Durbanville Nature Reserve
  6. Edith Stephens Nature Reserve
  7. False Bay Nature Reserve
  8. Harmony Flats Nature Reserve
  9. Helderberg Nature Reserve
  10. Steenbras Nature Reserve
  11. Table Bay Nature Reserve
  12. Tygerberg Nature Reserve
  13. Uitkamp Wetland Nature Reserve
  14. Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve
  15. Wolfgat Nature Reserve
  16. Zandvlei Nature Reserve
