update (26 August 2024): The renovations of the ablution facilities at Kamqua picnic site have been completed.
The management of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park has announced that much needed renovations of the ablution facilities will take place at Kamqua Picnic Site from today, 08 July 2024, until 12 August 2024. There will be mobile ablution facilities available during this time period.
The Kamqua Picnic Site is located in the southern part of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, along the Nossob River valley. It is situated on the main route between Twee Rivieren Rest Camp and Mata-Mata Rest Camps, making it a convenient stop for travellers. The site is equipped with basic facilities, such as shaded picnic tables, braai stands, running water and ablution facilites.
