The management of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park has announced that guests that are staying at the Botswana side of the Transfrontier Park will need to provide proof of their accommodation booking at reception upon entering and existing Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The new regulation becomes effective as of 01 June 2024.
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is located largely within the southern Kalahari Desert. It straddles the border between South Africa and Botswana and comprises two adjoining national parks - the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa and the Gemsbok National Park in Botswana. The Transfrontier Park is 35 551 km² in extent, of which 73% is in Botswana with the remainder in South Africa.
