Zambian privately owned regional carrier Proflight Zambia has announced a revision to its baggage policy for domestic flights in Zambia, effective immediately. The new policy provides a 23 kg free checked baggage allowance for all fare types. The updated policy allows domestic passengers the benefit of a standard checked baggage allowance of 23 kg at no extra cost, regardless of the fare type purchased. This also applies to passengers with existing tickets booked or purchased prior to the revision.
Proflight Zambia's international checked baggage allowance of 30 kg still applies to passengers holding a ticket with both Proflight Zambia international and Proflight Zambia domestic flights.
Proflight Zambia uses a weight concept only, with no piece concept, so weight allowances are not limited to one bag and may be spread across a number of bags. Baggage allowances may also be shared with family or friends booked with the same reservation reference, or with family under different reservation references so long as family surname matches.
