South African regional carrier Airlink has announced the introduction of flights to Kenya. The airline will launch scheduled direct flights between OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi. Effective 24 April 2023, Airlink will operate daily return flights to the Kenyan capital on board an Embraer E190 jetliner which can carry up to 98 passengers. Kenya becomes the 15th country in the airline's sub-Saharan route network and its third in East Africa.
