South Africa was voted one of the Top 10 Countries in the 33rd edition of the annual Condé Nast Traveller Reader's Choice Awards. The Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards are the longest-running and one of the most prestigious recognition of excellence in the global travel industry. More than 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to determine the winners. South Africa was voted 8th in the ranking, which was won by Italy. Sri Lanka came in second, followed by Portugal and Japan.
