• fewer than one in ten tickets sold so far was purchased by African football fans
• fewer than 100,000 tickets have been sold to fans of the six African countries in the 2010 World Cup final round from the 11 June to the 11 July 2010
  
• more South Africans have bought tickets to watch the English team than Bafana Bafana
• South Africa is not in the top 10 best supported sides (according to ticket sales)
• first time in World Cup history that the host nation are not topping the ticket sales list
• more than one million tickets have been sold or requested worldwide so far
• the current 3rd ticket sales phase is ending at the 22 Jan 2010...
