Mozambique: Gorongosa National Park reopens!

Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique is set to reopen. The National Park in the Sofala Province in central Mozambique closes annually  during the rainy season in mid-December and will open its gates again for single and muti-day overnight safaris from 01 April 2024.
Gorongosa National Park is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, abundant wildlife. It boasts an impressive array of biodiversity, with various habitats ranging from floodplains and savannas to rainforests and miombo woodlands. The National Park is home to iconic African species such as lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, zebras, and crocodiles. It's also known for its healthy populations of antelope species like impalas, waterbucks, and sable antelopes. Additionally, Gorongosa is a haven for birdwatchers, with over 400 species of birds recorded within its borders.
