South African low-cost airline FlySafair has announced the relaunch of a key local route in South Africa's Western Cape. Starting from early September 2023, the airline will once again be opening a route connecting Cape Town and George. FlySafair will operate three weekly flights on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays between the two destinations. The inaugural flight is set to take off on 08 September 2023.
George is the second largest city in the Western Cape and the capital of South Africa's popular Garden Route, a 300 km stretch of the south-eastern coast which extends from Witsand in the Western Cape to the border of Tsitsikamma Storms River in the Eastern Cape. George is situated roughly halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
