Namibia's flag carrier, Air Namibia, has announced the suspension of flights between Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek and Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport (LAD) in Luanda in Angola. The last flight will be operated on 09 February 2020. Passengers booked on affected flights will be re-protected and accommodated on flights operated by TAAG Angolan Airlines. According to Air Namibia, the route is loss-making to a level which is not sustainable, and there are no prospects of the situation changing in the foreseeable future. Air Namibia only resumed scheduled direct flights to Luanda in October 2019.
