The revamped Iziko Planetarium and Digital Dome in Cape Town is set to open it's doors to the public on 27 May 2017. The Planetarium, which is located at the Iziko South African Museum in Queen Victoria Street (Gardens), underwent a major digital upgrade since July 2017 and is now a world-class digital fulldome high res 3D-theatre with multiple functionality. It provides unequalled edu-tainment, making virtual travel to explore the universe, the depths of the oceans, the inner working of the human body, the intricacies of atomic and chemical structures possible, or just providing animation and 360° cinema for sheer entertainment.
