The Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve, situated under 2.5 hours from Cape Town in the Ceres Karoo in South Africa's Western Cape, has announced its reopening date. The Game Reserve is closed to the public since mid-December 2022 due to flooding and extreme weather. According to Inverdoorn's Facebook page, it will open its gates again from 01 February 2023. Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve covers an area of 10 000 hectare, is home to the Big 5 and is known for its cheetah rescue and rehabilitation centre. Safaris in the Game Reserve are offered on a day trip option or overnight stay with game drives presented by qualified rangers in traditional 4 x 4 vehicles.
