Etosha National Park: Dolomite Camp has finally opened its doors

The long awaited Dolomite Camp, nestled in the dolomite outcrops of the western Etosha National Park in Namibia, has finally opened doors to its guests on 01 June 2011.
The construction of Namibia Wildlife Resort’s 5th establishment inside Etosha and 19th overall in Namibia Protected Nature Park Areas began about a year ago in June 2010.

The 20 rooms and 40 bed Dolomite Camp is offering an intimate experience of one of the most scenic areas of Etosha. Staying overnight in one of the 17 Bush Chalet costs N$750 (offseason) and N$900 (high season), while the Deluxe Chalets cost N$1 200 (off-season) and N$1 400 (high season) per person sharing.
The Dolomite Camp consists of a spacious reception, lounge, bar and restaurant area – offering sunrise and sunset views over the surrounding savannah. From this point, a walkway leads to thatched, en suite chalets of which two are premier chalets. The Camp’s interiors reflect some of the features of western part of the Etosha National Park, characterized by dolomite rock formations, mopane, moringa and savannah woodland.
