Durban through architect's eyes (videos)
Durban will be hosting the 25th International Union of Architects World Congress at the Durban International Convention Centre (DICC) in August 2014 (03 - 07 Aug 2014). In order to promote the event, three Durban-based architects, namely Andrew Makin, Andile Ncapai and Mokena Makeka, and Sthembiso Mbonambi, a storyteller from Durban, take us on journey through the city and give us the chance to see Durban through their eyes! Kudos! Enjoy!

Rwanda: Nyungwe National Park promotional video (8min)
Rwanda Tourism, the tourism authoriy of Rwanda, has uploaded another video about Rwanda to their new youtube channel. The quality, in terms of the low resolution of the video, is again not the best, but the video presents the viewers some useful information about the Nyungwe National Park in the south-west of the country.
Nyungwe National Park, covering an area of approximately 970km², is located at Lake Kivu and Rwanda's border with Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The nearest town to the National Park is Cyangugu, about 50km to the west.

Video: Zimbabwe Today 2012 (10min)
Zimbabwean tourism group Africa Albida Tourism, which is running eg the famous Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and the Lokuthula Lodge in Victoria Falls, released a new video about Zimbabwe putting a focus on the country as a tourism destination in 2012. You get info on the current situation in Zimbabwe regarding all kinds of standard aspects travellers are usually interested in - from money matters, medical care and the availabilty of groceries and goods to the current situation of the hospitality sector, petrol availability, transport options and much more. The video is obviously a promotional video, so please don't expect to get to learn about the situation in Zimbabwe outside the (tourism) box. If you are planning to visit Zimbabwe or if you are simply interested in how the country's landmarks look nowadays, the video will be great for you. If you are looking an update about political and the socioeconomic situation in the country, the video won't give any updates. Anyway, it is good to see that at least the tourism sector is recovering and in some cases already back on track. Thanks Africa Albida Tourism for the video!

Great promo video - Waterkloof Wines (Somerset West)
Although the following video is actually promo video about Waterkloof Wines in Somerset West, it has a certain documentary-style and is definitely worth watching it.
Waterkloof Wines, located off the Sir Lowry’s Pass Road, is not a conventional wine estate. Their approach is to cultivate the berries and produce the wine in a as natural way as possible by using bio-dynamic & sustainable farming, minimal intervention and a traditional approach to wine making. They somehow carried the concept of "slow food" over to "wine making" and created their own concept of "slow wine".
Talking about "slow food" - you should also visit the Waterkloof Restaurant which is definitely worth a visit and, of course, a try. It is a bit upmarket, but if you can afford it, have a meal there. Anyway, enjoy the 8min film!
