Namibia: Windhoek's second "Open Streets Day" to take place in April 2020! [update]

update (24 March 2020): In light on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the second "Open Streets Day" in Windhoek has been postponed until further notice!

The City of Windhoek is planning to host the second "Open Streets Day" in Windhoek. The event will take place on 04 April 2020 on Independence Avenue in Windhoek's Central Buisness District (CBD). Between 08:00 - 15:00 the stretch between from Clemens Kapuuo Street all the way to Penning Street will become a car-free corridor for residents and visitors to enjoy as shared public space. There will be games, arts and crafts, food stalls, open gyms, walking and cycling in the street space.

Namibia: Windhoek's first "Open Streets Day" to take place on 26 Oktober 2019! [update]

update (18 October 2019): During the "Open Streets Day" in Windhoek, several activiies are planned, including games, arts and crafts, Zumba, yoga, dance classes, a fun-filled kiddies’ corner and much more. There will also be food and beverages sold. The event is free of charge. 

The City of Windhoek is planning the very first "Open Streets Day" in Windhoek. The event will take place on 26 October 2019 on Independence Avenue in Windhoek's Central Buisness District. Between 08:00 - 13:00 the stretch between Kasino Street and Sam Nujoma Drive will become a car-free corridor for residents and visitors to enjoy as shared public space.
