The readers of the US travel magazine "Business Traveler" voted Qatar Airways the Best Airline for International Travel for the third consecutive year at its 23rd annual Best in Business Awards. The airline was also awarded Best Business Class to the Middle East.
The Business Traveller USA Awards are reader's choice awards meaning that every registered print, digital and newsletter subscriber of the magazine has had the opportunity to voice their choice for the companies they felt offered the best product in a wide range of travel settings – different regions of the world, different types of travel providers, different classes of service. This year’s awards recognized 35 different travel service companies in 54 different categories.
Qatar Airways is currently operating a modern fleet of 103 aircraft and is offering flights to 110 destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America. The airline plans to serve 120 destinations worldwide with a fleet of 120 aircraft by 2013.

South African Airways won two awards from two U.S. travel magazines
South Africa's flag carrier, South African Airways (SAA) , has won two awards from two prestigious U.S. travel magazines. Business Traveler magazine has awarded SAA with the "Best Airline to Africa" and "Best Business Class in Africa" awards, while Global Traveler magazine has named South African Airways as "Best Airline in Africa" and "Best Sparkling Wine in Business Class".
Global Traveler ’s award for "Best Sparkling Wine in Business Class" went to SAA for its Philip Jonker Entheos Brut NV.
South African Airways is flying daily nonstop from the U.S. to South Africa with morning departures from New York's JFK Airport and afternoon direct services from Washington Dulles (with a stop in Dakar, Senegal).
South African Airways' network is featuring seamless connections to nearly 20 destinations within South Africa and to more than 25 cities across the rest of the continent. As a Star Alliance member, South African Airways is able to offer its customers 1,290 destinations in 189 countries and more than 21,000 flights daily, including convenient connections from more than 25 cities in the U.S. through code share service with Star Alliance member United Airlines.
